Report on the investigation into the Fire on-board the Fishing Vessel Pioneer, The vessel was lost and 1 crew member was killed by injuries related to the fire.

The vessel was Registered in St. Vincent and Grenadines, Bermuda coordinated as a substantially interested party.  RCC Bermuda coordinated rescue efforts and the crew were repatriated from Bermuda.

Fishing Vessel "Pioneer", 23.8 M sea going fishing vessel experienced a catastrophic fire on 20th June 2016.  Resulting in the crew abandoning the vessel at sea and the total loss of the fishing vessel.  All crew were rescued, however one crew succumbed to injuries sustained in the fire later, and another crew member was seriously injured and medically evacuated to the USA for treatment. The rest of the crew were repatriated from Bermuda following the investigation into the incident.
